The E3D ToolChanger and Motion System is an advanced research platform that enables up to four multi-material / multi-function tools (e.g. lasers, subtractive tools, pick & place, paste extruders, inspection cameras and everything else you can think of) and this during of a single print can be used.

Movement system:

A CoreXY motion system inspired by Fabtotum offers a fast, precise and robust platform. Without flying engines, without crossed belt paths and with an incredibly light moving mass. The motion system is designed for high speeds and fast accelerations.
Moon motors and Genuine Gates 2GT belts ensure fast, reliable and long-lasting performance. In order to ensure the high accuracy of the motion system, the three main axes are pre-assembled and allow easy assembly without additional tension.

• Real Hiwin rails & carriages.

ToolChanger ToolHead:

The ToolChanger ToolHead is the mechanical core component of the tool changing system. It is screwed directly onto the X axis of the motion system and offers the take-in and take-out action, which enables the use of different ToolHeads using the standardized E3D tool plate.

ToolChanger ToolHead main features:

• Six-point kinematics with exact restrictions.
• High voltage spring lock mechanism.
• Integrated Z-axis end stop.

High temperature heating bed:

• Runs at 240VAC
• Maximum operating temperature: 200 ° C.
• 3 mm aluminum plate (alloy: 6000 series)
• 104-GT2 thermistor


• Please note that the 400 W ToolChanger power supply is not suitable for use with other DC heating beds. If you want to use a DC heating bed, you have to use a power supply with higher power and an SSR DCDC (relay).
